Welfare Reform Bill

As I have mentioned in the past I am not a great one for political posts. I know what I know, I just don’t know how to articulate it well enough not to sound like a Muppet.

It’s no secret that I am on Benefits and have been for a while. It’s by far no ideal situation, but after a while you learn to cut your cloth according to what you have. We struggle on a monthly basis and luxuries and treats are becoming even more rare. I used to like to buy DVD’s and Music, but that has gone by the wayside. Christmas presents are bought on tick and are paid for at extortionate rates of interest. But this isn’t a post about what I don’t have now.. it’s about what the Government want to take away from disabled people in the New Year.

You know… I have written what was supposed to be the next few paragraphs 4 or 5 times now, and I really can’t articulate what’s going on properly, so I am not going to reinvent the wheel, I am just going to provide a few links to articles that explain better than I ever could.

Before the links… The reason for this post is to ask you my UK based readers to sign Pat’s Petition

  1. Thanks for this post Paul. A lot are worried about what will happen this next year. As if people don’t have enough stress already 🙁
